Design
The all-new Vitara expresses Suzuki's SUV styling heritage in a strong looking design. A clamshell bonnet gives the front end a striking look. A trapezoid styled front bumper gives the all-new Vitara a rugged look.
Aggressive front
Kicked-up body-side character lines and bonnet-side air outlets are inspired by the first generation Vitara. Shoulder lines running the entire length of the body contribute to the rugged look the SUV has. The front LED headlamps feature blue projector covers, for a more distinct look especially at night. The rear features stylish lights inspired by the SX4 hatchback.
Striking profile

Performance
The all-new Vitara is powered by a 1.6 litre petrol and diesel unit. The 1.6-litre petrol unit has an output of 88 kW (118 hp) and 156 Nm of torque. The diesel power unit delivers a similar horse power rating and 320 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a five speed manual transmission as standard. A six-speed automatic transmission is available for the 1.6-litre petrol engine. Delivering power to all the four wheels is Suzuki’s ALLGRIP system. The ALLGRIP system with four driver-selectable modes that permit safe, enjoyable driving on diverse surfaces first debuted in the Suzuki SX4 S-CROSS.

ALLGRIP system can send more torque to the rear wheels if it detects wheel spin at the front. The front suspension is of MacPherson strut design. The suspension has been designed to yield higher rigidity and better driving stability. The rear wheels have torsion beam suspension incorporating a beam design, which Suzuki first adopted in the SX4 S-Cross. The beam design yields superior rigidity and ride comfort. The new Vitara has ventilated disc brakes at the front and solid disc brakes at the rear.

Interior
The compact exterior footprint contains a roomy, comfortable and versatile interior to take people and cargo on daily trips or extraordinary voyages. The all-new Suzuki Vitara offers comfortable seating for five and reclining rear seats for extra storage space. A boldly shaped instrument panel and a U-shape design around the shift lever give the SUV a striking youthful look.
Cockpit
A round clock and air outlets, which are characteristic to the Grand Vitara, give the interior a sporty look. Suzuki achieved a world first by equipping the SX4 S-Cross with a sunroof consisting of two individually sliding glass panels. Now, the all-new Vitara incorporates the same acclaimed feature. The sunroof extends over the front and rear seats, making the cabin more relaxing for all occupants.
Large Sunroof
The audio system has a seven inch touch panel display that enables intuitive operation. The system also allows the driver to use smartphone applications while on the move. The luggage area has a capacity of 375 litres with the rear seat in its upright position. The rear seat and a luggage board can be repositioned for diverse purposes.

Verdict
The all-new Suzuki Vitara great design and improved performance make it a worthy successor to the outgoing model. Although the Vitara is smaller compared to its predecessor it still retains the versatility and fun factor that many have come to love it for.
