2014 Hyundai Elantra – Tweaked to dominate its segment

Introduced in the early '90s, the economy-priced saloon didn't exactly get off to a good start, earning a well-deserved reputation for overall shoddiness and unreliability. But two decades later, the Hyundai Elantra is now a class leader buoyed by better reliability, agreeable performance, handsome styling, and a long list of standard features. Take it for a spin and you'll likely be impressed with its smooth ride and responsive handling. Throw in a roomy cabin, solid build quality and a lengthy list of safety features, and the Elantra is a formidable competitor in its segment. For 2014 Hyundai has extensively updated the Elantra giving it advanced updated that set it above most of its rivals.

Verdict
The Hyundai Elantra was one the early cars that marked a great turn over to the Korean automaker. Before, it was the worst performer in its segment. With the latest additions, new 2.0-litre power unit and lots of added extras, the 2014 Hyundai Elantra is set to be one of the best cars to buy in its segment.
